Melba Vulcan Lane has been around since 1995 - well over 25 years and it still is loved by not just the locals but the tourists as well. This is because Vulcan Lane gives a classic, European vibe - it's always a great time visiting this street.
I love Melba's coffee but I particularly love visiting the Vulcan Lane one because of the unique vibe.
Plus with many corporate workers around the area, the smart and more formal vibe (during the week anyway) makes this place a great one to sit down with a laptop and get some work done while sipping on their great coffee.
Unlike many chains, Melba's quality control is much higher - I can comfortably say this because it doesn't matter which Melba you go to, their coffee is great every single time.
And of course, their food is amazing as well.
Each Melba location offers slightly different dishes - curated and tailored to the locals in the area.
At Melba Vulcan Lane though, my favourite is their Eggs Benedict with house-made potato rosti... With manuka-smoked bacon of course.
Pictured below is one of their signature dishes, The Energizer: grilled halloumi, quinoa, roasted pumpkin & beetroot, kale, cranberries, kumara hummus, maple & lime dressing and candied walnut.
It is such a great place to catch up with friends or host meetings during the week.
You can book a table via their webpage - just visit the link here.
Go visit Melba Vulcan Lane for the great coffee, food and vibe.
